Glenda Shevel Lissimore

Moved to MD in 1990. Worked at a fabric store for a couple of yrs., and a in the office of a furniture store. Worked for 5 yrs. in classified advertising at our local newspaper. Most recently I have spent the last 22 years working for a Government contractor as an office manager and in the security field processing individuals for their security clearance. Recently retired and enjoying gardening, quilting and grandchildren!

I loved art and spent a good deal of my time in the art room. I enjoyed painting pictures of mushrooms and Mrs. Hosa gave me the display case near the cafeteria to display my artwork. I did a beautiful display and included some real mushrooms that were growing on trees, stumps, etc. Looked great until the lights and warmth from the display case woke up all the bugs and crawly things living in the bark! Needless to say, Mrs. Hosa sent for me to immediately clean up the display case and get rid of the mess!
